Silver Hand are the soldiers of the Elden Ring that protect its allies. These individuals are the physical embodiment of the rules set forth by the Elden Ring.
Tarnished Elden Lords are the authoritative officials of the Elden Ring that control the Lands Between. They are at the top of a pyramid of respected officials that may include the members of the Amulet Tendency and Gods.
Elden Lords are distinct from Tarnished Elden Lords in that they are given dominion over an area through actions, rather than in a bloodline. It is the task of the Tarnished Elden Lords to enforce the law of the Elden Ring and the laws of the Lands Between.
