I have always liked Elden Ring and thus it is with considerable fanfare that I introduce it’s sequel to you. I think it’s the first time a studio does a sequel to a game that I really liked. I have a great deal of respect for Blockade Interactive, so I hope that you will forgive me if I’m a little bit biased. I’m sure you know this already, but Elden Ring II is an action RPG following the story of the last game, but this time through new eyes. And yes, there is a big difference. The action RPG is just as it always has been: there are levels with boss battles, and all sorts of enemy monsters to slay. Where Elden Ring II departs significantly is in its level design. This time around you have not only a much bigger world than the previous game, but also a much more three-dimensional level design. In the previous game all the dungeons were linear corridors with various “rooms” and then a boss. And they were damn boring. No more! You will visit vast outdoor worlds with castles, forests, mountains and many other “rooms”, all with complex and interesting design. Not only that, but a large portion of the game world will be populated with unique non-playable characters with whom you will interact. Not to mention the thousands of enemy monsters that will be waiting for you in the dungeons. It should be noted that the game comes with multiple difficulty levels that allow players to choose the play style that matches their strengths.
