Peer Mentorship Program
The Department of Developmental Sciences in the College of Science is currently seeking requests for funding for the 2013-2014 Year. The peer mentoring program consists of 9 high school students (1st/2nd/3rd year) who are selected based on excellent grade point average, outstanding performance in science and innovative proposals for research project, or project proposal. Five senior students (3rd/4th year) are selected to mentor the junior students. Students not accepted into the peer mentoring program will be given the opportunity to be part of other programs offered by the Department of Developmental Science.

The student will also learn through this experience about the possibilities of scientific research. At the end of the 6-week period, the PI and student will have a better understanding of the career options available to the student.
