The U.S. military has begun issuing new uniforms for active-duty servicemen and women. The new navy blue uniforms replaces the traditional khaki on soldiers in the U.S. armed forces.

In one of the uniforms designed for the new look is the M27 helmet, which is used in desert combat. The helmet is designed with different covers to shield the wearer’s face from sand particles and dust and reduce heat and fatigue.

The helmet also has a new design that has more ventilation, an improved brim and a better fit. The M27s will not be able to be used in jungle combat however, since they are not insulated.

According to the Army, the new uniform reduces the number of materials needed in each piece by 25 percent, and even the existing M-27s will have fewest materials used in a U.S. Navy uniform in history. The new uniforms, which have a shorter back, a longer cuff and more fabric, will be manufactured using sustainable materials and will be more durable.

The new uniforms have been criticized for the low rise of the pants and having a shorter back than the current uniform.

The Army will issue the new uniform to enlisted soldiers first, followed by Navy personnel, then Marine Corps, and finally the Air Force.
