you dont have to make a fuss with the lifecam to get great results. the webcam can automatically set it itself when paired with the included software or you can install it to the software you already have. one of the best ways to get it set up is to get the microsoft lifecam driver 1.1.2.0. that will show you the icon on your desktop and install it automatically when you run it.
hi i’ve just got a vx 3000 on ebay for £60. did everything you said, and all works fine, but my problem is that it doesn’t seem to “see” the camera. i’ve tried usb hub, phone, firewire all the same. when i go to the driver tab, there is no camera listed. i’ve checked out ebay’s manual and theres a chapter called “how to connect the camera”. i’ve tried it several different ways and it still hasn’t recognised it. any ideas?
i tried installing the 3020 by extracting the 3020.wmi to a folder. i tried plugging the camera into different usb ports on my pc. the f1 prompt us for a driver. i tried downloading a complete driver from the vx website. i’ve tried using the patch software in windows. nothing works. what do i do next?
so i downloaded the 3020.wmi and extracted it to a folder, then made the setup file and ran it. right now it’s trying to install a driver called ftpexxxxxxxx.inf, which i cannot find on my computer. is there a way to get a complete driver for vx3000 from windows?
