While the puzzles can be a little nonsensical at times, their simplicity makes the game a ton of fun.
Harveys New Eyes is one of those games that you can spend weeks on and still not find all of its secrets. There are some things that we just dont want to believe, such as one of the biggest twists ending up a rather obvious conclusion. It is a shame that it takes so long, but you dont have to worry about repetitive gameplay; there are many ways to complete each puzzle and they all play differently. Its a great idea that could be taken a lot further, but as it is now, it is a fun game to sink some time into.
In a year where a developer has gone away for a while, we were rather surprised to find that Harveys New Eyes received some rather hefty updates. What Lucasarts did with this release was make sure that the inventory, boss fights and puzzles were well maintained. The original version of the game was rather simple, focusing on the point-and-click puzzles. The graphics have actually gotten quite a bit better, with Lucasarts opting to add a few modern elements to the game. In addition, the game now has many more puzzles for you to solve, with many more cute touches. This is definitely a title worth looking into.
