other than the positive portrayal of autism in the movie i thought it was also fairly accurate in dealing with the idea of racism. the movie dealt with how muslims were targeted after the 9/11 attacks in the us. it was interesting to see how a muslim person could be treated differently. one example of this was the way the character rizwan’s car was searched, searched and searched again. this was also very similar to the real life treatment of people who look muslim in the us. the movie was also quite accurate in how the character was treated because of his race. for example, when he was first denied a room with another man, the door was locked from the outside and he could not get out. this was similar to how african american and hispanic people are treated in the us. it was also shown how his race was a big issue in his life. i think that the movie was also quite accurate in the way it depicted the asperger’s disorder. i would not go into detail about the movie’s portrayal of the disorder because it has already been reviewed. but i did like the way it was portrayed in the movie.
i also thought that this movie did a good job in depicting a good message. it showed that you could be different, but not have to be different. they showed that it was okay to be different. they showed how you are a different person with different problems, but with the same essence. the character rizwan was shown to be different, and everyone was uncomfortable with his differences. but they all came to accept him in the end, and he was able to see that everyone was different, but also the same. i think that the movie does a good job in showing that it is okay to be different. it does a great job in showing how they are different, but also the same. this movie can be watched by anyone because it is a great message. i think that this movie should be watched by everyone.
