Hey! this is pretty sry of a question about the eye kit i am wondering if i can just use a ordinary pinhole camera if i build my own eye kit instead of using a reflector and all the extra parts. the only thing i would really like to do is make the image black and white and then alter the camera to overlay a bit of colors or even just black and white? any help would be very appreciated!

If your not too bothered about the depth of field (how much in focus is near and far objects) then just go with the reflector. It will help your image out a lot. A pinhole camera will produce images with a massive amount of defocus.

It’s a bit difficult to give specific advice without knowing exactly how your camera is built. Is it build to be used on a photography tripod or on a robotic arm for active camera work, or is it built for in-camera use?

If it’s for in-camera use, then your best bet for black-and-white images is using a Kinetic Color Wheel or similar. For color images, it might be a good idea to get a Reflector Kit to add more depth to your images.

I just got my kit and have been making it. I guess i should of asked my question earlier though. How should i mount my eye on the stand you build? Should i use some type of clip or should i add some type of well to hold it in? It’s my first kit and i am wondering if i should buy a few of these extra parts or just skip it.
