The Bradwell Conspiracy is an amazing hidden object puzzle adventure game, that is highly recommended to any fan of the Myst series.

Not for everyone: – If you have small kids who need to be told where things are then this game will not be to your taste. – When the game is too slow and frustratingly difficult, it can be really difficult to get through. The world is gorgeous and the puzzles are inventive, and therefore really enjoyable, but the game can feel frustrating at times. – It is pretty dull in the world – the characters are mostly quite stolid, and the only characters with genuine warmth are the ghosts. – Overall a mystery story doesn’t quite work – it is not really possible to care for the characters.

If you are new to the Myst series, start at the beginning. This is a wonderful port of the first four games (for Linux, of course) and, though not a return to the original style, it is a wonderful tribute. The puzzles, with their mix of shapely graphics, clever guessing and a sense of story, are an absolute joy. And they’re inventive. There is even one that, though not in the original, has a Sherlock Holmes interpretation.
