Tiger – Features

Based upon extensive sound modelling, extensive synthesis techniques and innovative operator, the Tiger offers an extensive range of sounds. An active sound engine makes it possible to realise maximum polyphony – up to 96 voices for the bass. The Tiger is therefore highly suitable for sound design, production or live performance. Up to four keyboards can be used at the same time and the Tiger can be controlled with MIDI to various external controllers.

The Tiger is a highly versatile and flexible synthesizer. It can be used as a quite typical, monophonic, or even as a polyphonic synth. As the name implies, it is of the more powerful model, and its full functionality can be exploited with extended MIDI setups.
The outboard is conveniently located on the floor of the case with its power supply and MIDI interfaces. No need to open the case while the synth is playing. Also you can check and change options like presets while still playing without cutting the power to the synth.
You can use the pushbuttons to load sounds with a standard keyboard, use any of the wide selection of AUX (aftertouch) oscillators (Phaser, ring, waveshaper, pulsewidth, triangle, SAW and more), or use any modulation source (X-Y pad, ribbon, RVOL slider or multiple pads). You can also assign the ‘4 UCC knobs’ as modulation source for In/Out (as source) or the modulation target and pulsewidth (as target).
The internal modulation sources are send to the auxiliary output and can be used for multilayered sounds, especially for sound manipulation or modulation chainup with voicekeys. With the voicing degree connected to the keys (ADG, GP) you can create the most complex sounds, or just experiment a bit on the modulation sources and it will do the work for you.
All of the channels can be routed through the external 4UCC knobs to receive any of the modulation source choices (control voltage, resonance, squarewaveshaper, pulsewidth, xy pad, ribbon, RVOL or multiple pad). Or you can use the ‘backward sequencer’ to use any channel’s data as input. ( this in turn works only with preset LSB.. and if needed, the older soundset can be used as preset preset LSB..)
All I/O is split to the left and right. At each output you have the most commonly used two CV generators (1. Output out(Aux); 2. Output out (MIDI)).
Each CV generator can be activated with the dedicated CV knobs, just like in the sound section, and the modulation sources and target can be selected through these 4 UCC knobs.
There is also a serial port so that a midi controller (joystick, touchpad, etc) can be connected. The UCC knobs can be routed to the serial port inputs.
