If you have ever used Photoshop at work, you know how helpful the canvas and layer panel can be. But you might not always remember how the canvas and layer panel are laid out for you. So we made a widget to help you see where the canvas and layers are located at any time.

This is the Photoshop Elements canvas and layer panel widget. It’s a free download. See the details in the description at the bottom of this article.

This widget is available in 3 sizes:

► Very small size, 320×240 px

► Small size, 476×379 px

► Big size, 640×480 px

The big size widget is a PNG image. No size limit.

The small and medium sized widgets are sized to fit in a Tweet or a Facebook comment.

If you are interested in a dedicated Photoshop Elements app, go to the File > Preferences > Apps tab of the Photoshop Elements window. You can then change the location of the Photoshop Elements window. You can also get Photoshop Elements widgets for Mac OS X and Windows.

For the small and medium sized widgets, we can change the size of the widget using the Photoshop.app file on your Mac OS X or Windows computer. You can download the app.

How to see where a command fails within a shell script?

For example, when I run a shell script
x=1
if [ $x -eq 1 ] ; then
echo 1
else
echo 2
fi

how do I see from within the shell script that there was an error because it returned 2?

A:

You can put the whole command in single quotes, so that it is executed but the return code is not.
[ $x -eq 1 ]

or you can just
[ $x == 1 ]

if you don’t want to see the error message
[ “$x” == “1” ]

if the string is one word only.
[ “$x” == “1” ]

if the string has spaces.
[ “$x” == 1 ]

this is to check if the string is empty.
[ -n “$x” ]

this is to check if the string is not empty.
In this command
if [ $x -eq 1 ] ; then
echo 1
else
echo 2
fi

if x is not equal to 1, it will not be echoed, and if x is equal to 1, the else section will be executed, and the value of the echo will be 2.
You can see the return code of if, while and other shell commands by running them in the shell or add the -x option to print the exit code.
In the question, the if statement does not return 1 or 2, but returns 2

St. Cecilia’s School

St. Cecilia’s School is a selective, private day and boarding school for girls in grades 9–12, in the Bronx, New York.

History
St. Cecilia’s School was established in 1931 by the Sisters of the Divine Word. Before the establishment of the school, the local parochial schools in the South Bronx were closed by the Archdiocese of New York as a result of Hurricane Esther in October 1926, when most of the teachers, students and parents were out of the area. Before the Hurricane, many families from the area lived in the tenements in the area, where poor sanitation made typhoid and cholera epidemics a frequent occurrence. The Sisters of the Divine Word heard of the need for a Catholic secondary school in the area and met with Bishop Patrick Hayes to discuss the possibility of opening a school that would serve the needs of the city’s growing Catholic population.

After construction was completed in 1931, the school opened in the fall with a freshman class of only 22 students. At the time, the school’s director was Sister Cecilia Loret de Mézillac, the first-ever director of a school for girls in New York. St. Cecilia’s School began with a total enrollment of 80 students.

During World War II, St. Cecilia’s School accepted some evacuee Jewish students.

The school’s fourth headmistress was Sister Constance Marie Losier. She was born in Italy and had come to America in 1915. She graduated from St. Hyacinth’s School in Brooklyn and the College of the Sacred Heart in New York. She has been a member of the Sisters of the Divine Word since 1921. She became the first lay principal of St. Cecilia’s School in 1966.

In the 1980s, the school expanded into the adjacent former Mt. Tabor Cemetery. A convent and campus of St. Cecilia’s Parish was built and opened in October 1989. The original church remains, and the cemetery was transformed into St. Cecilia’s Cemetery (now called the Cemetery of the Sacred Heart).

In 1996, St. Cecilia’s School moved to its current location on the campus of the former Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
