# GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)

GIMP is another free, open-source graphics software package that most closely resembles Photoshop in its interface. It works with layers, and it offers powerful features, including some of Photoshop’s oldest. GIMP is cross-platform, so it runs on Windows, Mac OS, and GNU/Linux systems.

You can find the GIMP website at `www.gimp.org`. Visit the versioning section to find links to the current versions of GIMP.

This is a guide to get you started. It will provide you with practical tips and tutorials for the beginner and get you caught up quickly. We will do our best to keep these guides updated and relevant.

We will address more complex issues as they come up.

You are not forced to use this tutorial. In fact, you should not follow it in all cases.

Before You Get Started

Before we start, we want to make sure that you understand a few things.

Computers come in many shapes and sizes. It is highly unlikely that you will have access to the same computer as your friend. If you are running on a computer you don’t own, be sure to only use the features of Photoshop that are covered in this tutorial.

You will need to have an active internet connection in order to follow along. In some cases, you will need to download libraries that are needed to use some of the advanced techniques.

Libraries

Most of these tutorials use a library called GIMP. It is an open source alternative to Photoshop, but it is extremely difficult to use. We will stick to Photoshop for the tutorials, as it makes things much easier to understand and follow.

Getting The Tools

Photoshop is a professional program, and professional programs usually come with lots of additional features and tools. If you have a blank canvas, you’ll need to get something to create a project using. We are going to assume that you have access to either Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, and that you own a Mac, PC or Chromebook. This tutorial will show you how to do just that.

There are many alternatives to Photoshop and many problems have been tackled with them. Some offer more than Photoshop, and others are totally different. It is highly likely that you will have questions about which one to use. You should do some research before buying or downloading. If you purchase Photoshop, you can likely return it within 90 days and get your money back.

If you do not have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, the free photos are an excellent place to start. You can also get free samples online from several sources.

The present invention relates to a speech synthesis method, a speech synthesis apparatus and a program product and more particularly to a speech synthesis method and a speech synthesis apparatus for synthesizing a spoken word from a speech.
2. Description of the Prior Art
In recent years, development of a natural language processing technology is being made along with progress of computer science. There is a growing demand for a user-friendly information communication apparatus, and in such a situation, it is desired for a speech synthesis technology to realize a word expression in a human-like manner.
A conventional speech synthesis method forms a sentence using a space character contained in a word (refer to U.S. Pat. No. 4,276,886). According to this prior art, a space character is recognized to obtain a transcription. The transcription is then connected to other characters.
The conventional speech synthesis method, however, can only realize a natural language expression to a certain extent since it needs a user to input a space character.
Japanese patent laid-open publication No. 62-8507/1987 discloses a sentence forming method. According to this prior art, when an input word includes two words, one of which is a particular name, the other word is converted into a specific word with respect to the particular name. A space character is formed if the specific word is not recognized.
According to this prior art, words are connected but a natural language expression cannot be formed since the connected words are simply given.
In view of this, an object of the present invention is to provide a speech synthesis method, a speech synthesis apparatus and a program product which can realize a natural language expression to a certain extent.

Jquery slideToggle function

Hi I have a problem with the slideToggle function in my html. The slideToggle works fine, but if I call it again, the div slides out and right back in again.
