HyperHDR is open source tool which runs in the video driver for Raspberry Pi. It works with video software like VLC, XBMC and Raspberry Pi Player. With the help of HyperHDR, the brightness of the entire screen can be increased or reduced via the audio input. The audio level adjustment enables users to control the brightness in accordance with the audio level. It is possible to scale the brightness based on the audio input which provides the highest quality. Users can adjust the brightness based on the video output. Users can adjust the brightness based on the HDR. It provides the flexibility of an independent adjustment without the mediation of the HDMI control or camera settings. It also supports auto-detect HDR.
A user interface to adjust the brightness and adjust HDR will be provided. The interfaces provide various functions that enable the implementation of the brightness according to the audio input level. It helps users to reduce the screen brightness and toggle HDR according to the brightness. There are two types of adjustments. Auto-adjustment and direct adjustments. Direct adjustments are performed by using a simple slider. The image is adjusted by using sliding speed, which gives users the best results. The interface also includes various LUTs, which users can adjust by dragging them from the top left corner. Color plug-in also included in the interface which users can use to adjust the color by adjusting hue, saturation and value values.

The tool acts as support when connecting various HDR hardware to make the ambient light implementation possible. The app comes with a web interface that enables users to manage and customize everything thoroughly.
Among the hardware and software necessary to set the whole thing up, there are LED strips, modern video grabber, power supply for the LED strips, voltage level shifter, common ground between your LED strip ground and LED driver, LED driver and the PC to run the app. The developer recommends Raspberry Pi as a fully independent solution for the LED drivers and to avoid those with speed ~500Kb or below.
The tool comes with a built-in LUT table generator, but users can create their own if necessary. Alternatively, a 3dl Autodesk LUT table can be imported.
