The foo playcount plugin is a plugin which displays stats about your audio content.
The plugin will display the same information as the PROPF_STATISTICS_* options for the MediaPlayer. It has a very similar layout as when you double click a track in foobar2000.
Simply enter the value for the PROPF_STATISTICS_IN_DIALOG option into the Configuration dialog and you’ll see how the plugin behaves.
To use the plugin:
– Save the files in your %appdata%\foobar2000 folder
– Edit the foo.xml file
– Add to the XML section. There is a tag with id “pluginname”
– Add:

%first_played%, %played_per_day%, %play_count%, ded% and %rating%

– Save and close the foo.xml file.
– Open the Configuration dialog and change the “Minute of Play” setting under the “%played_per_day%” section to the length of time you would like to have the stat line shown for.
– Save the configuration file and run foobar2000.
– You should now have a column next to your content for “%played_per_day%” which shows the date and time, and a line for “%play_count%”.

This version adds playback statistics to’my_directory\my_playlist.m3u’. You can find a example playlist by selecting ‘Existing playlists…’ and searching for’m3u’ in the Searching window.

To add playback statistics to Media Library items:

1. Use Playback statistics to start a new playlist
2. Right click on the item in the Media Library and select ‘Add Statistics’
3. Select the new playlist created in Step 1.
4. Click ‘OK’
5. Select the ‘Auto’ tab
6. Select the time span you want to collect playback statistics for.
7. Click the radio button to choose the results you want to display.
8. Click ‘OK’
9. Right click on the file in the Media Library and select ‘Add Statistics’
10. Click ‘OK’ to display the results

Automatic Playlist
A Short Example Playlist and more information on how to use the playlist is shown below.

-In the file shown below, the playlist is named’my_playlist.m3u’
-The ‘Playcount’ statistic is stored in the the AutoPlay statistics, to enable you to view the AutoPlay statistics for an item you first need to create a new playlist for the item, then add the AutoPlay statistics to that playlist.
-To use the ‘Playcount’ statistic, add a new item to the playlist.
-To view the AutoPlay statistics for the playlist, open the playlist in the Media Library.
-The ‘Playcount’ statistic will be displayed under the header ‘Play Count’ for that item.
-To add a new item to the playlist, right click on the item in the Media Library and select ‘Add to playlist…’
-To create a new playlist in the Media Library, select ‘Existing playlists…’ and search for’m3u’ in the Searching window.
-The above playlist will add a new playlist for each item in the ‘My Music’ folder.
-When using the AutoPlay feature, each time you add an item to the playlist it will add a new AutoPlay statistic to the AutoPlay statistics and add a new item to the playlist.
