This week’s Fantasy Grounds article is a Paizo Publishing adventure: Emissaries of Evil. This scenario, released in 2008 as part of a Pathfinder Adventure Path, was the first Mythic Monsters adventure released. In very short summary it involves an expedition to retrieve a Twa legendary, Eldrazi dimensional gateway artifact from the forces of Phyrexia.
Emissaries of Evil, adventure #22. All Paizo characters can be played in this scenario if fantasy-based musth is not an issue. Therefore, get those Champions of order up! And make sure to pack in the guido’s with you (or at the very least have a couple of overmatched orientals on hand to fake it for you!)
A typical, 10-level, adventure scenario should take a player or party of characters about 4 sessions, although by all accounts the story in Emissaries of Evil is incomplete. The following provides a brief summary of the “about”, if one has not read the scenario. As a rule of thumb, you should probably be aiming to have most enemies hit around a 17-20 in any monster rating. Any less and you’ll end up fighting multiple enemies at once.
The adventure was designed specifically for characters in the range of 3rd to 7th level. So rules clarity is, or at least ought to be, a priority when writing a fantasy-based adventure. Use this as a guide:
Metecallem is a large hill in Perilous Valley, a mountain-esque locale, not to be confused with the 1st or the 3rd level, directly below the location of the adventure (Precinct of Dream). The hill is also a veritable eldritch maelstrom, that attracts dangerous nightmares and bloodthirsty nightmares. The local authorities refer to the spot as the Spoils of Nightmare.
Hazaranas is a mountain in the south-eastern corner of the continent, not to be confused with the final location of the adventure, Mazram. The mountain is the province of a nearby rakshasa clan, the Marajahs, who rule the area. They inhabit a village called Mutsua to the south east of the base-level location.

Introduction
Welcome to my guide to Fantasy Grounds – Mythic Monsters #22: Emissaries of Evil. It’s in beta now, so you should have an idea of what you’re getting into, but I want to tell you that it’s all gone wrong anyway. I’ve made some strides with the API but haven’t managed to make it do much yet. I’m writing this for anyone who’s ever wanted to start playing Fantasy Grounds and Mythic Monsters but then refused because it was too big of a task. But before we get into the details and the hints I have for you on how to make Mythic Monsters actually work for you, let’s look at how you install the game.
Installation
There are two files you need to download, the game itself, and the ZIP file containing the API. If you create a folder, and put those two files in there, you’ll get a.zip-file, that opens with a file manager for you. Just unzip the file and you are ready to start!
Menu Settings
If the game is in beta, it’s probably not working correctly, and it may take some time to get it working again. So I’ll give you some hints below. In this particular game, the menu settings are a bit bizarre and some of it’s stuff won’t work at all and some of it works very strangely or not at all. That’s mostly my fault, so forgive me and get on with it.
