thanks for taking your time to respond. i will be happy to answer any questions. i appreciate the feedback on the topic. i really appreciate the detail you give on the differences in each product. here is a link to the fantasy grounds product page. i have highlighted a few of the differences. you have a basic game, which is a great place to start and it can be used to run an entire campaign. you have an editor, which is used to make maps and figures and monsters etc. this is the most flexible of the three and allows you to do more than just run games, but you can use it to create content as well. you can use the map editor to create maps for any of the products. so you could create a map for fantasy grounds, the forge, or astral talespire, if you are using those. if you are wanting to use the maps in your campaign, then you can either run the game in that format, or you can export the map to a standard format, which you can then import into one of the three products. the software is free, however you need to purchase books to be able to use them. it is possible to use the basic version, but you need to purchase an extra module to use it. the basic version is the cheapest, but it isn’t enough to run an entire campaign. i have provided links to the video tutorials for all of the products, so you can get a better idea of what they are like. i have also linked the basic game, so you can see the interface. if you would like to give it a go, you can use the free trial version. you can then use it to set up a campaign, and see if it will fit your needs. i hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions. thanks
