Java – regex: get value of string from string
I am looking for a way in Java to get a value from a string.
The string is the number of a command and I want to get the value to the float. For example, the command is
run -i 1 -maxexecutiontime 30 -wait -N1 -h
And I want to get the value of 1.
I am looking for a solution that could work with every number of the command.
You can use the string.split(“\\s+”) in order to get several strings. It will split the input string based on the new line character and the spaces.
Then you can write a for loop to retrieve the first value you want.
Something like this:
String input = “run -i 1 -maxexecutiontime 30 -wait -N1 -h”;
String inputArr = input.split(“\\s+”);
int firstValue = Integer.parseInt(inputArr);
float result = (float)firstValue;
