Self Created Tool in Matlab that works on different Matlab Versions

I have created a self created tool in MATLAB that calculates the difference between a matrix A and a matrix C. These matrices are of type uint8. I have not written any code to check if the input of my tool is correct. I just want to execute it.
The output of my tool will be a uint8 matrix of the same size than the input.
I want to be able to use this tool in MATLAB, in different versions, without my tool having a dependency on specific versions. So my question is:
Is it possible to create a self-created tool that can work in all MATLAB versions?
What I have done so far:
I created a folder (C:\Tools) in which I store all the executables that I create. The executables are called wp_workspace.m, wp_ToolName.m, and I create them all manually. They are called by calling a shell script (C:\Tools\run.sh).
The shell script is run by calling a.bat script (C:\Tools\Run.bat). The.bat script is run by double clicking on it.
This is the shell script:

I added the lines bellow to the.bat script to open a specific folder and execute the run.sh script:

As you can see I have 2 problems:

The output of the tool has the same size as the input. I need the output to be one matrix that has the same size as the input.
In the.bat script I can call only executables in C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64.

I have checked my script (which I also included here) and it seems to work correctly. The problem I have is the size of the output of the tool is the same size as the input.
