In the August 2008 issue of Digital Drafting & Design, it was said that this product is a “slight step back from the cutting-edge R15 and R16 releases”. Reviewers remarked on the older interface, the small amount of help available in the learning curve, and the lack of e-mail support. The program has improved since its inception.

In the September 2007 issue of CAD Technology, one reviewer noted that it is “a well thought out user interface with professional feel. It’s functional, yet basic, but with all of the controls you need for professional drafters”. Another reviewer said: “AutoCAD LT is a direct descendant of AutoCAD LT/R (R13), and is a familiar typeface that works well in many situations, but some things have changed in a new release”. CAD Review noted in their review: “The interface isn’t great, and many of the controls are small and slightly hidden… AutoCAD LT has matured and, as such, there are no issues worth mentioning for now”. However, they do note some limitations, such as an inability to enter text other than alphanumeric, a lack of 3D objects, and issues when exporting to several formats.

In the January 2007 issue of CAD Manager, CAD Review said that AutoCAD LT is “a good choice for non-technical users who want to draw in AutoCAD, but can’t justify the cost of AutoCAD on a long term basis”. My navbar looks really slow to the user on scroll. Ive tried adding ease to the animations, but it seems to do nothing. I only need it to animate one way, from a fixed position to fixed position. I have seen many other questions that go into great detail about how to do it, but no one really explains the reason for this. I would like to keep the navbar as it is and not change its position or other properties. I just need it to smoothly slide into place.
